A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, DETER-
MINING THE AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
FOR INSPECTION OF CITY BRIDGES WITHIN
SAID CITY AND PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT OF
COSTS THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles did on
March 20. 1973. duly adopt a Resolution determining that. upon the concurrence
of a city, the County shall have the authority and responsibility for the in-
spection of all city bridges within said city; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of this City that Inspections of
this City's bridges be standardized in character and uniform in nature with
similar inspections of County bridges and of bridges in other cities within the
County.
HOW. THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, does resolve
as follows:
1. This City Council does hereby consent and concur that the County of
Los Angeles shall have the authority and responsibility for the inspection of all
City bridges within this City as provided in Section 1394 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
2. The inspection of said bridges by County shall be at no cost to this
City, but all such costs shall be borne by the County of Los Angeles.
3. The authority and responsibility vested in County by this Resolution,
and the termination thereof, shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions
of the Resolution of the County of Los Angeles, hereinabove referred to.
4. The provisions of this Resolution and the Resolution of the County of
Los Angeles, hereinabove referred to, shall supersede and replace the provisions
of the existing agreement between this City and the County relative to apportioning
the cost of inspection, and the record-keeping thereof, of City bridges located
within this City.
