A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK FIXING THE RATE
OF TAXES AND LEVYING TAXES FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 1973
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
/ SECTION 1. That for the purpose of raising sums
of money necessary to be obtained by taxation upon all
taxable property located within the City of Baldwin Park,
as revenue to carry on the operations of the City for the
fiscal year, commencing on July 1, 1973 and ending on
June 30, 1974, the to 11 owing tax 1evies are hereby imposed
upon all such taxable property within the City:
a) For the General Fund as the annual
property tax, pursuant to Section 43068
of the Government Code of the State
of California: $0.85
b) Special Assessment tax levy for the
purposes of the Baldwin Park Municipal
Lighting District, pursuant to
Section 18165 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of Califor-
nia: $0.25
c) Annual tax levy for the acquisition or
maintenance or improvement of its
public parks and boulevards, pursuant
to Section 5304 of the Public Resources
Code of the State of California: $0.33
d) For fire protection and suppression
services, a tax is hereby levied
pursuant to Section 2167.1 of the
Revenue and Taxation Code of the State
of California: $0.7399
e) For 1ibrary servi ces» a tax is hereby
levied pursuant to Section 2167.1 of
the Revenue and Taxation Code of the
State of California: $0.2341
Said tax levies, above described, shall be, and
hereby are, imposed upon all taxable property located
within the boundaries of the City of Baldwin Park, as the
same existed on July 1, 1973.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this Resolution and cause the same to be
published in the manner prescribed by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 29th day of August,
1973.
