A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK COMMENDING
AND RECOGNIZING ABRAHAM LINCOLN POST
241 AND AUXILIARY UNIT 241 FOR THE
ETERNAL FLAME MEMORIAL HONORING ALL
VETERANS
WHEREAS, Abraham Lincoln Post 241 and Auxiliary Unit
241 of the American Legion of the City of Baldwin Park,
California, proposed an Eternal Flame Memorial honoring all
citizens who have served our Country honorably, and
WHEREAS, the members of Abraham Lincoln Post 241 and
Auxiliary Unit 241 worked diligently and tirelessly, and
WHEREAS, the torch lighting the Eternal Flame was
started on the llth hour, llth day, of the llth month in Baldwin
Park;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council
of the City of Baldwin Park accepts with deep appreciation the
Eternal Flame Memorial in Baldwin Park on behalf of the citizens
and commends Abraham Lincoln Post 241 and Auxiliary Unit 241 on
the completion and dedication of this most worthy achievement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council thanks
all members of the Abraham Lincoln Post 241 and Auxiliary Unit
241 for their interest and effort in designing and achieving a
memorial of which the City of Baldwin Park can be justly proud
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park has caused this Resolution to be adopted by the
unanimous vote of the members thereof on the 5th day of
December, 1973, and has caused the same to be subscribed to by
the entire membership of the City Council.
