RESOLUTION NO. 74-8
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ADOPTING
CERTAIN ELEMENTS OF THE CITY'S GENERAL
PLAN CASE NO. AGP 27 and AGP 28)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park does resolve as follows:
a) That pursuant to the applicable provisions
of the Planning and Zoning Law Section 65302 et seq.
of the Government Code of the State of California),
studies were commenced for the purpose of amending,
and adding to, the City's General Plan, to render
the same In conformity with the said Planning and
Zoning Law; and
b) That said studies have been completed as
to the following Elements: Land Use; Circulation
and Transportation; Recreation; Open Space; Scenic
Highways; Conservation and Future Streets; and
c) That the Planning Commission has conducted
a series of noticed public hearings on the studies
relating to the above described Elements, and has
considered the evidence presented thereat; and
d) That the Planning Commission has recom-
mended the adoption of said Elements; and
e) That the City Council has conducted a
noticed and public hearing on said recommendations,
and has determined that the public interest requires
the adoption of said Elements.
SECTION 2. That the following General Plan Elements
bei and the same hereby are, adopted and approved:
a) Baldwin Park General Plan Program: Noise
Element, prepared by Baldwin Park Planning Department,
dated December 5, 1973.
b) Baldwin Park General Plan Program: Housing
Element, prepared by Baldwin Park Planning Department,
dated December 5, 1973.
c) Baldwin Park General Plan Program: Safety
Element, prepared by the Baldwin Park Planning Depart-
ment, dated November 21, 1973.
d) Baldwin Park General Plan Program: Seismic
Safety, prepared by the Baldwin Park Planning Department,
dated December 5, 1973.
Copies of each of the above described General Plan Elements
are on file in the office of the City Clerk.

SECTION 3. That It is not the intention of the City
Council of the City of Baldwin Park, in adopting the General
Plan Elements above described, to indicate an intention to
acquire, for public purposes, any real property. In adopting
the said Elements, it is the intention of the City Council
to utilize the same, as a guide only, for future public and
private development and redevelopment within the City.
SECTION 4. That the City Council, at the time of the
public hearing, relating to said General Plan, considered
and adopted an Environmental Impact Report with respect
to said General Plan amendments and/or updates.
SECTION 5. That the Planning Commission is hereby in-
structed to review the contents of said Elements annually
and to propose any necessary amendments thereto.
SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be
processed in the manner required by law.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16th day of January, 1974.
