FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO STATE, COU/W

WHEREAS, the Honorable Pete Schabarum has devoted many
years of service to State. County and local Government in California;
and
WHEREAS, these years have included service as Foreman of
the Los Angeles County Grand Jury» 1965, member of the District
Attorney's Advisory Board; member of the California State Assembly
from the 49th District, 1966 1970; and member of Los Angeles
County Board of Supervisors, including a term as Chairman, 1972 to
the present time, and
Ct/HEREA^ Supervisor Pete Schabarum, through his conscientious
efforts to resolve the varied and complex problems of State, County and
Local Government, has won the support and respect of his constituents;
and
ft/HEREAS, Supervisor Pete Schabarum has consistently advocated
the need for greater efficiency and economy in government at all levels;
M(W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOll/EO that the City Council of the
City of Baldwin Park hereby expresses its sincere appreciation to
Supervisor Pete Schabarum for his dedicated efforts toward the orderly
growth and development of State, County and Local Government in
California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLl/EO that the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy
thereof to Pete Schabarum, Member of the Board of Supervisors, First
District, County of Los Angeles.
