A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK EXPRESSING
THE CITY'S CONDOLENCES. RECOGNITION
AND APPRECIATION OF MANUEL ANTHONY
ARCEO'S DEDICATION AND SACRIFICE ON
BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND ITS RESIDENTS
WHEREAS, Manuel Anthony Arceo devoted years of service to
the United States Marine Corps and City and County police service
in California, and
WHEREAS, these years of service included duties in the United
States Marine Corps and upon discharge remained in the Marine Corps
active reserves, a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff and Patrolman
for the City of El Monte. California, 1968-1974). and
WHEREAS, Manuel Anthony Arceo consistently advocated the need
for dedicated professional policemen, and
WHEREAS, Manuel Anthony Arceo's interest never waivered in
his loyal dedication in the field of police work, and
WHEREAS, he earned the respect of his fellow officers and
constantly endeavored to assist his fellow man at the risk of
his own life.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council on behalf
of the Residents of the City of Baldwin Park hereby express their
sincere and deepest sympathy to the Family of the late Manuel Anthony
Arceo and the City of El Monte, and express appreciation for his
dedicated efforts on behalf of the City of Baldwin Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy
thereof to the family of Manuel Anthony Arceo and the E1 Monte City
Council.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17th day of July, 1974.
