A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK RELATING TO THE
STRONG-MOTION INSTRUMENTATION PROGRAM OF
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE:
WHEREAS, effective March 4, 1972, the State of Calif-
ornia did enact a Strong-Motion Instrumentation Program
pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 8 commencing with
Section 2700) of Division 2 of the Public Resources Code;
and,
WHEREAS, Section 2705 of the Public Resources Code
provides that all counties and cities shall collect a fee
from all applicants for construction permits which shall be
equal to 007 percent of the estimated construction cost of
the structure; and,
WHEREAS, Section 2701 of the Public Resources Code pro-
vides that the Division of Mines and Geology of the Department
of Conservation shall organize and monitor the program?
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park, does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1. Effective July 1, 1974, the Baldwin Park
Building Division shall collect the fees, and the City Finance
Department shall remit the collected fees pursuant to the pro-
visions of Chapter 8 of Division 2 of the Public Resources
Code and rules and regulations of the Division of Mines and
Geology of the Department of Conservation.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
