A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA RECITING THE FACTS OF
THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION CONSOLIDATED WITH
THE STATE WIDE GENERAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK ON THE 5TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1974
DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER
MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW
WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election consolidated with the State
wide General Election was held and conducted 1n the City of Baldwin Park»
County of Los Angeles, State of California on the 5th day of November, 1974;
and
WHEREAS, notice of said Special Municipal Election was duly and
regularly given in time, form and manner as provided by law; that voting
precincts were property established; that election officers were appointed
and that in all respects said election was held and conducted and the votes
cast thereat, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in
time, form and manner as required by the provisions of the Elections Code
of the State of California for the holding of special elections in cities; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 74-83 adopted the 21st day of
August, 1974, the Registrar of Voters of the County of Los Angeles, canvassed
the returns of said election and has certified the results to this City Council.
said results are received, attached and made a part hereof as Exhibit A".
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That there were 38 voting precincts.established for
the purpose of holding said election consisting of consolidations of the
regular election precincts in the City of Baldwin Park as established for
the holding of state and county elections.
SECTION 2. That at said Special Municipal Election the following
measure was submitted to the electors of said City to wit:
Measure N Shall Ordinance No. 684, Creating a
Community Redevelopment Agency for the City of
Baldwin Park, be Adopted?"
SECTION 3. That the whole number of votes cast In said City
except absentee voter ballots) was 8,154;
That the whole number of absentee ballots cast in said City
was 180, making a total of 8,334 votes cast in said City.
SECTION 4. That the number of votes given at each precinct and
the number of votes given in the City for and against the special election
measure were as listed in Exhibit A" attached.
SECTION 5. That the City Council does declare and determine
that; that as a result of said election, the majority of the qualified
voters voted on said measure relating to Ordinance 684 Creating a
Redevelopment Agency, did vote in favor thereof and said proposition was
carried and shall be deemed adopted and radified.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the
City Council of said City a statement of the results of said election
showing:

1. The whole number of votes cast in the City
2. The measure voted upon
3. The number of votes given at each precinct for and against
the measure
4. The number of votes given in the City for and against the
measure

SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution, shall enter the same in the book of original
Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute record of the passage and
adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of
said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which same is passed and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 27TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1974.
