A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK REQUESTING AN ALLOCA-
TION OF AID TO CITIES FUNDS AND FEDERAL-AID
URBAN EXCHANGE FUNDS FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION
OF MAINE AVENUE FROM FRANCISQUITO AVENUE TO
PACIFIC AVENUE
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated certain monies
to the City of Baldwin Park as County Aid to Cities; and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has carried over $31,768 in Gas
Tax Funds which represents the balance of Federal-Aid Urban Exchange Funds
for the City of Baldwin Park from the 1971-73 Federal-Aid Urban program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park desires to expend
the amount of $145.000 of said funds accrued to the City for the replacement of
curbs, gutters, sidewalk and asphalt pavement and the construction of a storm
drain on Maine Avenue from Francisquito Avenue to Pacific Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Maine Avenue is included in the City's currently approved
Select System of Streets.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park as follows:
SECTION 1. That the County of Los Angeles is hereby requested to allo-
cate $145.000 of the Aid to Cities Funds and Federal-Aid Urban Exchange Funds
apportioned to the City for the work specified above and to pay this amount to
the City when claimed.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall forward a certified copy of this
resolution to the Los Angeles County Road Commissioner for processing.
PASSED. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of December_____,
1974.
