A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK COMMENDING THE MID-
VALLEY COMMUNITY HEALTH COUNCIL UPON THE
CELEBRATION OF THEIR SECOND ANNIVERSARY
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park has participated in the Mid-
Valley Health Council for the past two years; and
WHEREAS, the Mid-Valley Community Health Council will celebrate
their second anniversary January 16, 1975; and
WHEREAS, over five years ago interested and dedicated citizens
in Duarte recognized the need of a self-help center where young
people and their families could seek help with drug and related
problems; and
WHEREAS, their successful efforts attracted attention and the
founding members of the Board of Directors was formed, composed of
members from adjacent cities; and
WHEREAS, through their united efforts the Council established
a self-help center to provide educational and psychological services
for youth and families in Baldwin Park.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Baldwin Park expresses appreciation for the dedication and
enthusiasm of the founders and the staff in making counseling a
reality for the citizens of Baldwin Park and joins with adjacent
cities in celebrating the Council's second anniversary on January 16,
1975.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution,
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15th day of January, 1975.
