A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK COMMENDING
JAMES S. MOCALIS FOR HIS OUTSTANDING
SERVICE TO THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
WHEREAS, JAMES S. MOCALIS is resigning as City
Manager of the City of Baldwin Park to serve the City of
San Juan Capistrano in the same capacity/ and
WHEREAS, Mr. Mocalis has applied his managerial
expertise to successfully implement important programs which
have significantly contributed to the economic health and
general welfare of the citizens of the City of Baldwin Park,
and
WHEREAS, since his appointment as City Manager of
the City of Baldwin Park in 1971, Mr. Mocalis has established
close and harmonious working relationships with local. State
and Federal agencies, substantially benefitting the City of
Baldwin Park thereby, and
WHEREAS, by his active participation in many
committees of the League of California Cities, Southern
California Association of Governments and Los Angeles
County, Mr. Mocalis has achieved a place of leadership
within the city management profession, reflecting great
credit upon the City of Baldwin Park, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Mocalis has at all times faithfully
served the City of Baldwin Park with exceptional skill,
dedication and professional integrity of the highest order,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby recognize
the outstanding service JAMES S. MOCALIS has performed as
City Manager, and on behalf of the community expresses its
appreciation and wishes him well in all future endeavors.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of February,
1975.
