A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK COMMENDING
THELMA S. DUNCAN FOR HER OUTSTANDING
SERVICE TO THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
WHEREAS, THELMA S. DUNCAN is retiring as Finance Director
of the City of Baldwin Park, and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Duncan has applied her financial expertise
to assist with budgeting for the City of Baldwin Park which
has significantly contributed to the economic health and
general welfare of the citizens of the City of Baldwin Park,
and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Duncan joined the City staff in 1956, and
since assuming her role as Finance Director of the City of
Baldwin Park in 1963, Mrs. Duncan has established close and
harmonious working relationships with local. State and Federal
agencies, which have significantly contributed to the better-
ment of the City of Baldwin Park thereby, and
WHEREAS, by her active participation as Treasurer for
Hot Line, serving as a Commissioner on the Los Angeles County
Public Social Services Commission and participation in Chamber
of Commerce functions, Mrs. Duncan has achieved a place of
leadership within the city, reflecting great credit upon the
City of Baldwin Park, and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Duncan has at a11 times faithfully served
the City of Baldwin Park with exceptional skill, dedication
and professional integrity of the highest order,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Baldwin Park does hereby recognize the outstanding
service THELMA S. DUNCAN has performed as Finance Director,
and on behalf of the community expresses its appreciation and
wishes her well in all future endeavors.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of March. 1975.
