A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AUTHORIZING
AN AMENDING APPLICATION FOR LAW EN-
FORCEMENT GRANTS THIRD YEAR FUNDING
ORGANIZED CRIME INTELLIGENCE UNIT,
CONTRACT NUMBER A-1170-3-74)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
WHEREAS the City of Baldwin Park desires to undertake
a project entitled Organized Crime Intelligence Unit" to be
funded in part from funds made available through the Omnibus
Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 administered by the
Office of Criminal Justice Planning
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park that the Chief of Police of the Baldwin Park Police
Department is authorized to submit the attached Application for
Grant for Law Enforcement purposes to the Office of Criminal
Justice Planning for its consideration, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event that the Office
of Criminal Justice Planning consents to fund the project, the
City of Baldwin Park agrees to accept the Grant and designates
the Chief of Police to execute on behalf of the City of Baldwin
Park the amended contract for the Grant for Law Enforcement pur-
poses, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to pro-
vide the required matching funds to said project, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder
shall not be used to supplant ongoing law enforcement expen-
ditures.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this Resolution.
