A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK REPEALING AND RE-
SCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 75-30 AND AUTHO-
RIZING AN APPLICATION FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT
GRANTS E.V.I.S. MINI-GRANT)
WHEREAS the City of Baldwin Park desires to undertake a certain
project designated E.V.I.S. Mini-Grant" to be funded in part from
funds made available pursuant to the Crime Control Act of 1973,
PL 93-83- administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning
hereafter referred to as OCJP) for the California Council on
Criminal Justice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of Police of the
Baldwin Park Police Department was authorized, on its behalf, to sub-
mit the attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes
to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Baldwin
Park the attached Grant Award for law enforcement purposes including
any extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all
matching funds required for said project including any extension or
amendment thereof) under the Crime Control Act and the rules and
regulations of OCJP and the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration
LEAA) and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall
not be used to supplant on-going law enforcement expenditures.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 75-30 is hereby repealed
and rescinded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.
