A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK FIXING THE RATE OF TAXES AND LEVYING
TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1. 1975
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That for the purpose of raising sums of money necessary to
be obtained by taxation upon all taxable property located within the City of
Baldwin Park, as revenue to carry on the operations of the City for the fiscal
year» commencing on July 1, 1975 and ending on June 30, 1976. the following
tax levies are hereby imposed upon all such taxable property within the City:
a) For the General Fund as the annual property tax, pursuant
to Section 43068 of the Government Code of the State of
California: $0.9000
b) Special Assessment tax levy for the purposes of the
Baldwin Park Municipal Lighting District, pursuant to
Section 18165 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California: $0.2889
c) Annual tax levy for the acquisition or maintenance or
improvement of its public parks and boulevards, pur-
suant to Section 5304 of the Public Resources Code of
the State of California: $0.3300
Whereas the City of Baldwin Park has elected to assume financial respons-
ibility for services provided City residents by the Consolidated Fire Protec-
tion District and the Los Angeles County Free Library pursuant to Section
43073 a) of the Government Code;
Now, therefore, be it resolved that pursuant to Section 43073 b) of the
Government Code, the tax rates and levies of the City of Baldwin Park, as set
forth in subparagraphs a), b), c), in the total amount of $1 5'l89sha11 be
increased by an amount equal to the amount of the tax rates and levies set by
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles for the Consolidated Fire
Protection District and the Los Angeles County Free Library for the 1975-76
fiscal year.
Said tax levies, above described, shall be, and hereby are, imposed upon
a11 taxable property located within the boundaries of the City of Baldwin Park,
as the same existed on July 1, 1975.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 26th day of / August 1975.
