A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ENDORSING THE
REEMPLOYMENT ACTION COMMITTEE REAC)
WHEREAS, unemployment within the community has
been a problem for too long a period of time, and
WHEREAS, it has been demonstrated that there are
willing and able workers seeking employment and employers
with jobs seeking applicants, and
WHEREAS, existing methods for bringing together
the prospective employee with the prospective employer are
not fully adequate, and
WHEREAS, The Honorable John H. Rousselot, member of
Congress for the 26th District, has sponsored the formation
of the Reemployment Action Committee REAC), and
WHEREAS, this Program has been notably successful
with a minimum of cost,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Baldwin Park, California, that the REAC Program
be hereby approved and supported and that the City officials
and employees be directed and encouraged to cooperate with
REAC officials in promoting the goals of the Program.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and forward a copy to The Honorable John H. Rousselot
PASSED and APPROVED this 3rd day of September, 1975.
