A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK REQUESTING AN ALLO-
CATION AND PAYMENT OF COUNTY AID TO CITIES
FUNDS FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF SELECT SYSTEM
STREETS AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 75-69
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated certain monies
to the City of Baldwin Park as County Aid to Cities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to expend the amount of $88.582.00
of said funds accrued to the City for the maintenance of streets on the City's
approved Select System; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, by Resolution No. 75-53, has previously
requested and received $64,396.00 of said funds; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, by Resolution No. 75-69, has previously
requested that $24,186.00 of said funds be approved for the installation of
traffic signals at Baldwin Park Boulevard and Los Angeles Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that said $24.186.00 should
more appropriately be expended for the maintenance of streets on the City's
approved Select System and that the installation of said traffic signals
should be financed with funds from other sources;
NOW. THEREFORE the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park resolves
as follows:
1. The County of Los Angeles is hereby requested to allocate
$24.186.00 of the Aid to Cities funds apportioned to the City for the
maintenance of those streets on the currently approved Select System of
Streets excluding State highways), on file with the Department of Trans-
portion. State of California, and incorporated herein by reference.
2. After the allocation 1s approved by the Board of Supervisors
and funds are available, the County is requested to send such allocated
amount to the City. The City will begin using the funds for street main-
tenance according to the terms of the allocation.
3. Resolution No. 75-69 be hereby repealed and rescinded.
4. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of this
resolution to the Los Angeles County Road Commissioner for processing.
