A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK OPPOSING
STATE OR FEDERAL LEGISLATION RELATING
TO GUN CONTROL
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park does hereby find, determine and declare, as follows:
a) That many efforts are being made to adopt
legislation prohibiting, or substantially impairing,
the constitutionally protected rights of citizens
to bear arms? and
b) That the evidence presented to this City
Council clearly indicates that such regulations are
not warranted? and
c) That the public interest requires that
this City Council go on record opposing such regu-
lation.
SECTION 2. That this City Council does hereby oppose
any effort to impair the constitutional rights of citizens to
bear arms by the adoption of unneeded legislation.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.
