CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIV- ING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNIC- IPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUES- DAY, THE 2ND DAY OF MARCH. 1976, FOR THE ELEC- TION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY AS RE- QUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO GENERAL LAW CITIES WHEREAS, under the provisions of the laws relating to General Law Cities in the State of California, a regular general municipal election shall be held on the 2nd day of March, 1976. for the election of three 3) members of the City Council of said City for the full term of four years; a City Clerk of said City for the full term of four years; and a City Treasurer of said City for the full term of four years; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the laws of the State of California relating to General Law Cities within said State, there shall be, and there is hereby called and ordered, held in the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California, on Tuesday, the 2nd day of March, 1976, a regular general municipal election of the qualified electors of said City for the purpose of electing three 3) members of the City Council of said City for the fu11 term of four years; a City Clerk of said City Clerk of said City for the full term of four years; and a City Treasurer of said City for the full term of four years. SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used at said election shall be, both as to form and matter contained therein, such as may be required by law to be used thereat. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized, in- structed and directed to procure and furnish any and alt official ballots, notices, printed matter and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to properly and lawfully conduct said election. SECTION 4. That for the purpose of holding said regular general municipal election, there shall be and are hereby established twenty-three 23) voting precincts consisting of consolidations of the regular election precincts in the City of Baldwin Park established for the holding of state and county elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this Resolu- tion. That the polling places for the respective precincts and the election of- ficers shall be set and established by a subsequent Resolution of the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park. SECTION 5. That the compensation of the persons hereinbefore named as election officers is hereby fixed at the sum of $25.00 for each Inspector and $20.00 for each Judge and Clerk for said election. The rental for each of such polling places, where a charge is made, shall be the sum of $20.00 for said election. When required, the compensation of the Custodian of a building shall be $15.00 for said election. SECTION 6. That the polls for said election shall be open at seven o'clock A.M. of the day of said election and shall reamin open continuously from said time until seven o'clock P.M. of the same day when said polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 14436 of the Elections Code of the State of California. SECTION 7. That in a11 particulars not recited in this Resolution, said election shall be held and conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections in said City. SECTION 8. That notice of the time and place of holding said election is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice of said election, in time, form and manner as required by law. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
