A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING VOLUNTEER
RECOGNITION DAY ON FEBRUARY 14. 1976
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, by a
general resolution desires to recognize this Community's volunteers
on February 14, 1976; and
WHEREAS, volunteers with many hours of work are constantly striving
to help this community; and
WHEREAS, volunteer endeavors create better conditions for a11
citizens at great monetary savings; and
WHEREAS, volunteer workers perform services which would not
otherwise be available; and
WHEREAS, without the help of dedicated volunteers, numerous
major beneficial programs would cease; and
WHEREAS, we are proud of the leadership of these volunteers
in providing many essential services,
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Baldwin Park does proclaim February 14, 1976 VOLUNTEER
RECOGNITION DAY" and urges a11 citizens to recognize the meaningful
efforts of these unpaid volunteers who contribute daily to the
betterment of our community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this resolution.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of February, 1976.
