HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976 014 CC RESO1976 014 CC RESO(Ììø>RESOLUTION NO. 76-14 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK EXPRESSING THE CITY'S CONDOLENCES, RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION OF GEORGE S. HEBERT, JR.'S DEDICATION ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND ITS RESIDENTS WHEREAS, George S. Hebert, Jr. served in the United States Anny Air Corps and devoted years of service to City police service in California, and WHEREAS, these years of service included duties in the United States Army Air Corps and two years as a Police Reserve Officer for the City of Montebello and nineteen years for the City of Baldwin Park serving as Patrolman, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain 1957-1976). and Acting Chief of Police in the absence of the Chief of Police, and WHEREAS, George S. Hebert, Jr. consistently advocated the need for dedicated professional policemen, and WHEREAS, George S. Hebert, Jr.'s interest never waivered in his loyal dedication in the field of police work, and WHEREAS, he earned the respect of his fellow officers, city employees and citizens and constantly endeavored to assist his fellow man. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council on behalf of the Residents and the Employees of the City of Baldwin Park hereby express their sincere and deepest sympathy to the Family of the tate George S. Hebert, Jr., and express appreciation for his dedicated efforts on behalf of the City of Baldwin Park. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to the family of George S. Hebert, Jr. and the Baldwin Park Police Department. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of March, 1976. ATTEST: y^^ THELMA L.
