A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING A
MODIFICATION OF SPECIFIC PLAN NO. 3
TO DELETE THE PROPOSED ALLEY RIGHT-
OF-WAY ALONG THE REAR 30 FEET OF
13735 13737 LOS ANGELES STREET
BETWEEN MERGED AVENUE AND WALNUT
STREET CASE NO. MODIFICATION OF SP-3)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby
find and determine as follows:
a) That pursuant to law the Planning Commission, on the 24th
day of March, 1976, held a duly noticed public hearing to consider the
modification of Specific Plan No. 3 deleting the proposed alley right-
of-way.
b) That the property on which said modification relates is located
at 13735 13737 Los Angeles Street, more particularly described as:
Lot 25 of Tract 4624 as recorded in the Office of the Los Angeles County
Recorder; and
c) That as a result of said hearing, recommendation of the
Department of Planning and the Department of Public Works, the Commission
has found that the public interest requires a modification of Specific
Plan No. 3", the proposed extension of Kenmore Street through the subject
block. Studies do not indicate a need for this lot to be used in order
to complete the proposed extension;
That the modification will not have a substantial environmental effect;
That the Circulation Element and Future Street Element of the General
Plan as well as the Zoning Ordinance, make no reference to a need to
maintain any portion of the subject property for the implementation of a
Circulation Plan; and
That the modification is in conformance with both the General Plan and
the Zoning Ordinance.
d) That the City Council conducted a public hearing upon said
recommendation and determined that the public interest requires such
modification as proposed.
SECTION 2. That the City Council does hereby order the Director of
Planning to cause the General Plan of the City to reflect the Modification of
Specific Plan No. 3.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and forward a copy hereof to the Secretary of the Planning
Commission.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of May, 1976.
