A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK COMMENDING
STACY ALDRICH FOR HIS HEROISM IN
PROTECTING A LIFE
WHEREAS, on Thursday, May 13, 1976. STACY ALDRICH, of
3513 MUtbury Avenue, on his way home from school, observed a
little boy endangered by a 5-foot garter snake crawling from
a planter, and
WHEREAS, Stacy ran between the snake and the little boy,
intending to remove him from harm, and in so doing was bit on
the hand when he struck at the snake with his fist, and
WHEREAS, at personal risk to himself, thinking the tittle
boy would die if bit by the snake, Stacy was bit and required
the services of a doctor, and
WHEREAS, Stacy Aldrich deserves public recognition for his
unselfish and heroic act;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE that STACY ALDRICH is hereby commended for
his bravery and prompt action in protecting the little boy's life.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Stacy Aldrich be given a copy
of this Resolution as a token of the City's recognition of his
unselfish and heroic action.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of May, 1976.
