A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
COMMENDING KEITH CRAIG FOR
INDUSTRIOUSNESS AND DEDICATION
TO SCOUTING IDEALS
WHEREAS, 750 Eagle Scouts from across the country have been
selected to attend the Eagle Scout Bicentennial Celebration in Washington,
D.C. this summer; 14 from Los Angeles County and 2 from the San Gabriel
Valley Council; and
WHEREAS, Keith Craig has been selected from the San Gabriel Valley
to perform service tasks in support of the Bicentennial; and
WHEREAS, the Eagle Scouts wilt demonstrate scouting skills and
serve as guides at major points of interest in Washington, D^C; and
WHEREAS, participants were selected on the basis of extra-
curricular activities, school records, community participation, speaking
ability, scouting ideals, knowledge of the United States, camping and
outdoor experiences and foreign language ability; and
WHEREAS, Keith Craig is Junior Assistant Scout Master of Troop
670, holds the Silver Palm Award, is an honor student at Sierra Vista
High School, member of the band council, a third year German language
student, a church deacon working for his God and Country award; and
WHEREAS, Keith served as a member of the Tournament of Roses
Troop 75 and was a delegate to the World Jamboree in Norway in 1975.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does hereby resolve that Keith Craig be, and he hereby is, conmended
for his industriousness and dedication to Scouting Ideals.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that he be granted this Resolution
in commemoration of his meritorious service to Scoutinq and the Community
as a token of the City's heartfelt gratitude tor the fine example of
citizenship he has set for the Community.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park has caused this Resolution to be adopted by the unanimous vote
of the members thereof on the 4th day of August 1976, and has
caused the same to be subscribed to by the entire membership of the
City Council.
