A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK EXPRESSING
THE CITY'S RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION
OF DALE J. ADAMS' DEDICATION ON BEHALF
OF SAID CITY AND ITS RESIDENTS
WHEREAS, Dale J. Adams served in the United States Navy and devoted
years of service to City police service in California; and
WHEREAS, these years of service included duties in the United States
Navy and twenty years for the City of Baldwin Park serving as Patrolman, Sergeant,
Lieutenant. Acting Chief of Police in the absence of the Chief of Police, and
Chief of Police 1965-1976); and
WHEREAS, Dale J. Adams consistently advocated the need for dedicated
professional policemen; and
WHEREAS, Dale J. Adams' interest never wavered in his loyal dedication
in the field of police work; and
WHEREAS, he earned the high personal regard and respect of his fellow
officers, city employees and citizens, and constantly endeavored to assist his
fellow man.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council on behalf of the
Residents and the Employees of the City of Baldwin Park hereby expresses its
earnest appreciation for his dedicated efforts on behalf of the City of Baldwin
Park by declaring Thursday. October 21, 1976 to be Dale J. Adams Day.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to Dale J. Adams
and to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of October, 1976.
