A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THE VACA-
TION OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF BALLENTINE
PLACE 77-V-1)
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act of 1941", the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, did on the 20th
day of January, 1977, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 77-8, declaring
its intention to vacate a certain portion of BaHentine Place in the City of
Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as shown as Parcels
A, B and C on Map 77-V-1.
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly published and notice
of street vacation duly posted, alt in the form, place, time and manner re-
quired by law; and
WHEREAS, this City Council, at the hearing designated by said Reso-
lution of Intention, on the 17th day of February, 1977, heard alt of the
evidence offered in relation to the proposed vacation.
WHEREAS, Batlentine Place between Bogart Avenue and Downing Avenue
is not needed now nor in the foreseeable future for the following reasons:
1. It is not included in the circulation element of the
General Plan.
2. It is completely landlocked and unimproved.
3. There is tittle possibility that additional street
dedication could ever be acquired to connect it to
an existing street without great expense to the City.
4. The closest street to which BaHentine Place could
ever intersect with is Bogart Avenue, a private
street with very substandard improvements and no
maintenance.
5. Adjoining property owners have requested that it
be vacated.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
FIND, DETERMINE, RESOLVE and ORDER, as follows:
SECTION 1. That said certain portion of Ballentine Place, shown as
Parcels A, B and C on Map 77-V-1, not being needed for present or prospective
public street purposes, and therefore the same be and is hereby, vacated for
public street purposes.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the
passage of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested
by her under the seal of the City to be recorded in the office of the County
Recorder, Los Angeles County, California
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of February 1977

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
PARCEL A
The northerly 30 feet of Lot 22, Tract No. 5524 as per map
recorded in Book 60, page 90 of Maps in the office of the
County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
PARCEL B
That portion of Lot 11, Tract No. 5524 as per map recorded
in Book 60, page 90 of Maps in the office of the County Re-
corder of the County of Los Angeles, bounded and described
as follows:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of said Lot 11, thence
northerly along the westerly line of said lot a distance of
32 feet; thence N71°19'59"E, 50.14 feet to the beginning of a
curve,concave to the south, tangent to said last mentioned
line and having a radius of 37 feet; thence easterly along
said curve to the easterly line of said Lot 11; thence south-
erly along said easterly line to the southerly line of said
Lot 11; thence westerly along said southerly line to the
point of beginning.
PARCEL C
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of said Lot 12; thence
northerly along the westerly line of said Lot 12 a distance
of 44.00 feet to the intersection with a curve concave to the
southwest; said curve having a radius of 37.00 feet and said
westerly line also being a radial line of said curve; thence
easterly, southeasterly, and southerly along said curve to the
southerly line of Lot 12; thence westerly along said southerly
line to the point of beginning.
