RESOLUTION N9. 77-37
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
BICYCLE AND/OR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS AUTHORIZED UNDER
SB-821 AND AFFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF THE BALDWIN
PARK BIKEWAY PLAN.
WHEREAS, SB-821 provides that the Los Angeles County annually
set aside monies from its total local Transportation Fund to be used
to fund the development of bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park has planned and adopted the
Baldwin Park Bikeway Plan AGP-34) in conformance with specifications
of the California Highway Design Manual and the Regional Transportation
Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park desires to construct that portion
of the East San Gabriel Valley Bikeway Master Plan which ties within
the Baldwin Park City limits utilizing the funds available under SB-821.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Baldwin Park
does resolve as follows:
1. To adopt and maintain a Bikeway System in conformance with the
specifications of the California Highway Design Manual and the
Regional Transportation Plan; and
2. To authorize the Planning Director as the City's authorized
signature and designated contact person; and
3. To direct the Planning Department to apply for alt funds available
to the City of Baldwin Park allocated for Bikeways and Pedestrian
Facilities SB-821).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be processed in the
manner required by law.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of May 1977.
