A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK FIXING THE RATE OF
TAXES AND LEVYING TAXES FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1. 1977
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That for the purpose of raising sums of money necessary to
be obtained by taxation upon all taxable property located within the City of
Baldwin Park, as revenue to carry on the operations of the City for the fiscal
year, commencing on July 1, 1977 and ending on June 30, 1978, the following tax
levies are hereby imposed upon a11 such taxable property within the City:
a) For the General Fund as the annual property tax, pursuant
to Section 43068 of the Government Code of the State of
California: 1.1700
b) Special Assessment tax levy for the purposes of the
Baldwin Park Municipal Lighitng District, pursuant to
Section 18165 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California: 0.2889
Whereas, the City of Baldwin Park has elected to assume financial respon-
sibility for services provided City residents by the Consolidated Fire Protection
District and the Los Angeles County Free Library pursuant to Section 43073 a)
of the Government Code;
Now, therefore, be it resolved that pursuant to Section 43073 b) of the
Government Code, the tax rates and levies of the City of Baldwin Park, as $et
forth in subparagraphs a) and b), in the total amount of 1.4589 shall be in-
creased by an equal amount to the amount of the tax rates and levies set t?y the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles for the Consolidated Fire Pro-
tection District and the Los Angeles County Free Library for the 1977-78 fiscal
year.
Said tax levies, above described, shall be, and hereby are, imposed upon
a11 taxable property located within the boundaries of the City of Baldwin Park»
as the same existed on July 1, 1977.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of August 1977.
