A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK CEASING TO FUNCTION
AS A COMMISSION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
AND APPOINTING CERTAIN PERSONS TO SERVE
AS COMMISSIONERS OF SAID HOUSING
AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, pursuant to
Section 34200 et seq. of the Health and Safety Code Housing Authorities Law),
declared the need for a Housing Authority and named itself as Commissioners
in Resolution No. 77-58; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 34293 of said Code, the City Council
wishes to delegate the functions of the Housing Authority Commission to
qualified persons of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park:
SECTION 1. That the City ouncil hereby determines that it shall
no longer function as the CommissionFrs of the Housing Authority of the
City of Baldwin Park.
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby appoints the following
persons as Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Baldwin
Park for a period of years appearing after their names, respectively:
Josephina Medrano
Dr. Robert Lane
LeMarr Mosley
George Lowe
Thomas Klein
One Year
Two Years
Three Years
Four Years
Four Years
SECTION 3, That said Commissioners are hereby vested with all the
rights, powers, duties, privileges and immunities incident thereto, except
that no member of the Commission shall receive any compensation, as such, for
serving as a member of said Housing /'uthority.
SECTION 4. That Thomas Klein is hereby designated as the first
Chairman of said Housing Authority.
SECTION 5. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 2'Oth day of October, 1977.
