A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK COMMENDING
THE BALDWIN PARK BRAVES FOR THEIR
ATHLETIC ACCOMPLISHMENT
WHEREAS, the people of Baldwin Park desire that the accomplishments
of youth be justly recognized and commended; and

WHEREAS, athletic accomplishment constitutes one of the highest and
most demanding forms of human endeavor open to youth; and
WHEREAS, the Baldwin Park High School Varsity Football Team. The
Braves, completed an undefeated regular season, won the Montview League
Championship, and represented the City in CIF playoff competition in an
exemplary manner, thus bringing honor and acclaim to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park does hereby commend The Baldwin Park Braves for public
service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park expresses, on behalf of the people of Baldwin Park, its deepest gratitude
for the efforts of these fine young men and wishes them continued success.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of January. 1978.
