A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK COMMENDING
THE BALDWIN PARK ROADRUNNERS FOR
THEIR ATHLETIC ACCOMPLISHMENT
WHEREAS, the people of Baldwin Park desire that the accomplishments
of youth be justly recognized and commended; and
WHEREAS, athletic accomplishment constitutes one of the highest and
most demanding forms of human endeavor open to youth; and
WHEREAS, the Baldwin Park Roadrunners, Jr. Aft American Football
Team, Jr. Pee Wee Division achieved an undefeated, 8-0, season under the
leadership of Coach Mike Sheehan, thereby representing Baldwin Park in an
exemplary manner and bringing honor and acclaim to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park does hereby commend the Baldwin Park Roadrunners for public
service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park expresses, on behalf of the people of Baldwin Park, its deepest
gratitude for the efforts of this fine organization and wishes it continued
success.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of January, 1978.
