A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, IN
SUPPORT OF THE PROPOSED LOS ANGELES
COUNTY GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, the proposed Los Angeles County General Plan has been
reviewed by the City of Baldwin Park; and
WHEREAS, through the East San Gabriel Valley Planning Committee.
the staff of the City of Baldwin Park did actively
participate with the staff of the Los Angeles County
Department of Regional Planning in the development
of this plan as it applies to the East San Gabriel Valley;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Baldwin Park has
recommended support of the proposed plan; and
WHEREAS, the proposed plan provides explicit goals and policies
which are generally consistent with the plans and policies
of the City of Baldwin Park; and
WHEREAS, the proposed plan will require the assistance of the cities
within the county in order to be appropriately implemented;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed plan will require strong and aggressive
leadership by the County to assure implementation of this
plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park hereby supports the efforts made by the
Regional Planning Commission and the Staff of the Departments
of Regional Planning in developing the proposed Los Angeles
County General Plan;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council recommends adoption
of this plan by the Board of Supervisors and prompt
development of an appropriate and aggressive new zoning
and development code.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of the Resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of March, 1978.
