A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK COMMENDING
EDNA CORNAGGIA FOR PUBLIC SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
WHEREAS, the People of Baldwin Park desire that individuals making
significant contributions to the cause of individual liberty be justly
honored; and
WHEREAS, EDNA CORNAGGIA has been active for many years helping
women fight for equality in educational and commercial opportunity; and
WHEREAS, she has labored untiringly to increase public awareness
and bring about legislation to protect and expand women's rights, including
representing our City at the National Women's Year Conference; and
WHEREAS, on May 20 she will be installed as California State
President of the Business and Professional Women's Club.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, and the
People, of the City of Baldwin Park hereby commend EDNA CORNAGGIA for public
service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council, and the People, of
the City of Baldwin Park wish her continued success in her efforts on behalf
of women's rights.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of May, 1978.
