RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK. CALIFORNIA, MAKING APPLICATION TO
THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION OF LOS ANGELES
COUNTY REQUESTING INITIATION OF PROCEEDINGS FOR A
JMUNICIPAL REORGANIZATION PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL
ORGANIZATION ACT OF 1977 ANNEXATION if24) AND RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 78-54
WHEREAS, Section 25140 of the Government Code provides that a proposal for
a municipal reorganization may be made by the adoption of a resolution of appli-
cation by the legislative body of a city, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and the Ctty Council of the City of
Baldwin Park have previously held prezontng hearings and have prezoned the
affected territory as required by the Local Agency Format-ton Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
1. Application is hereby made for an annexation to the City of Baldwin Park
of that area, designated as annexation #24, pursuant to the Municipal Organization
Act of 1977 and detachment of the same territory from the City of West Covina.
2. The territory proposed to be annexed/detached is uninhabited. A
Description of the exterior boundaries of such territory is set forth in Exhibit
W attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
3. The reasons for the proposed municiple reorganization are: all
property under one ownership will be in the same jurisdiction.
4. It is desired that the proposed municipal reorganization provide for
and be made subject to the following terms^ and conditions: none
5. Resolution 78-54 Is hereby repealed and rescinded.
6. The Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park is hereby directed to file a
certified copy of this resolution, together with the necessary documents and
processing fees, with the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of July. 1978.
