A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
COMMEMORATING REVEREND MONSIGNOR
JOHN G. FLACK ON HIS INVESTITURE
WHEREAS, Reverend Monsignor John G. Flack, of St. John
the Baptist Parish, has, since 1951. devoted
years of dedicated service to providing counsel,
facilities and programs for parishioners, and
always found time to attend to civic affairs;
and
WHEREAS, the results of his labors have included the
building of the first parochial school, 1952;
establishment of a convent, 1955; construction
of St. John's Church and an addition to the
rectory, 1956; building of a parish halt, and
the addition of the Guadatupe Chapel, 1967; and
WHEREAS, his foresight guided St. John's through its
formative years with patience, understanding
and humility, assisting parishioners and new-
comers, contributing immeasurably to the develop
ment of the parish as we11 as the City; and
WHEREAS, he performed his duties for St. John's Parish
and the City in an exemplary manner, reflecting
credit on the Archdioses of Los Angeles and
City of Baldwin Park, and has received his
Investiture as Reverend Monsignor
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that
REVEREND MONSIGNOR JOHN G. FLACK
is commended for public service; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council and the people
express their deepest gratitude for the invalu-
able contributions he has made to the life of
this community.
