A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, CERTIFYING
THE DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT ON THE
PROPOSED PUENTE-MERCED REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park is considering the
adoption of a Redevelopment Plan for the Puente-Merced
Redevelopment Project Area in order to eliminate the existing blight
in the project area; and
WHEREAS, a Draft Environmental Impact Report has been
prepared by the firm of Urban Projects, Inc. on the proposed
project pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act,
as amended; and
WHEREAS, public input and testimony on the Draft
Environmental Impact Report has been provided by having
circulated the report to the required agencies and by having a
duly noticed public hearing as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park finds, determines and resolves as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby certify the
Draft Environmental Impact Report on the proposed Puente-Merced
Redevelopment Project.
SECTION 2. That all comments received during the
review process and all testimony received during the public
hearing process shall be incorporated with the Draft Environmental
Impact Report to become known as the FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
REPORT FOR THE PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT-
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 9th day of August, 1978.
