A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED
AS ANNEXATION NO. 24
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park adopted a
resolution making an application to the Local Agency
Formation Commission for the proposed annexation of
territory to the City of Baldwin Park from the City of
West Covina in the County of Los Angeles pursuant to the
Municipal Organization Act of 1977 Part 2 of Title 4
of Division 4, commencing with Section 35000, of the
Government Code), and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Los Angeles
County approved said municipal reorganization on
September 27, 1978 and authorized the City Council of the
City of Baldwin Park to annex such territory without
notice and hearing by said legislative body and without
an election, in accordance with Section 35221 of the
Government Code,
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby
approve and order annexation of the territory described
in Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein,
2. The affected territory will not be taxed for any
existing bonded indebtedness or contractual obligations
of the City.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed immediately after
adoption of this resolution to transmit a certified
copy of this resolution together with the necessary
documents and fees to the executive officer of the
Local Agency Formation Commission.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of October 1978.
