POPULATION FORECAST" PER EXHIBIT C", ATTACHED HERETO, CALLING FOR AN INCREASE IN OUR POPULATION PROJECTIONS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: That the City Council accepts the S.C.A.G. Population Forecast'*, per the amendments for the City as outlined on Exhibit C" attached hereto, and as follows: WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park will be experiencing increased growth due to the following: A. increased housing construction B. redevelopment of land uses C. annexation of unincorporated areas; and WHEREAS, the Regional Planning Department of the County of Los Angeles recently has indicated that Spanish surname families have a greater than average birthrate; and WHEREAS, the City staff and the City Council conclude that based upon our recently updated population analysis for our General Pain, that the S.C.A.G. projections are low and inaccurate. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park requests an amendment to the S.C.A.G. Growth Forecasts" in accordance with Exhibit C" and for the reasons referenced previously. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
