A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ACCEPTING THE S.C.A.G.
AIR QUALITY MAINTENANCE PLAN" A.Q.M.P.)
AND THE CONTROL STRATEGIES PER EXHIBIT C",
ATTACHED HERETO, WHICH STATES THE CITY'S
POSITIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
That the City Council does hereby declare its intention to accept
the S.C.A.G. Air Quality Maintenance Plan", hereafter referred to as
A.Q.M.P., per our positions on the control strategies as listed on Exhibit C",
attached hereto and as follows:
WHEREAS, the A.Q.M.P. is important to the quality of life for each
and every citizen of the City of Baldwin Park; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park supports the general concept of
the A.Q.M.P.; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park does not support the control
measures of the A.Q.M.P. as outlined. The City of Baldwin Park will only
support the positions as outlined on Exhibit C", attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park does not support the growth
forecast of the A.Q.M.P. The City of Baldwin Park wilt only support the
growth figures of Exhibit B", attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park supports the State and Federal
implementation of this plan only in accordance with Exhibit C", attached
hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park agrees to develop a schedule to
implement the plan in a manner consistent with our comnunity goats and
objectives and economic abilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park accepts the S.C.A.G. A.Q.M.P." as outlined previously in
this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution.
