A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ADOPTING AN
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY FOR THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK PURSUANT TO THE
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1965
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park pursuant to the Public Works and Economic
Development Act of 1965, together with its amendments,
has determined that the City is situated in an
economically distressed area with a high rate of
unemployment and under-employed low-income citizens.
SECTION 2. It is further determined there is a need
for a comprehensive Economic Development Plan and
Strategy for correction of these distressed conditions.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does hereby adopt, as though fully written herein and
made a part hereof, the attached document as the
Economic Development Strategy and Plan for the City
of Baldwin Park.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED and APPROVED this 18th day of April, 1979.
