HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979 072 CC RESO1979 072 CC RESO(ÌìòFRESOLUTION NO. 79-72 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ESTABLISHING A HOLIDAY PLAN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That attached hereto, incorporated herein by this reference, marked Exhibit A", is a holiday plan, adopted pursuant to Section 2251 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, relating to all positions in the City's employment which are designated and classed as Classified and Unclassified Service" positions in such employ. SECTION 2. That all resolutions or portions thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall forward a certified copy hereof to the City Manager, each department head of the City, the Secretary of the Personnel Commission, and to authorized representatives of each recognized employee organization designated as such by the City Council. January 1st, known as New Year's Day" 2. the 3rd Monday in February, known as Washington's Birthday" 3. The last Monday in May, known as Memorial Day" 4. July 4th, known as Independence Day" 5. the 1st Monday in September, known as Labor Day" 6. September 9th, known as Admission Day" for classified public safety employees with the exception of Records Supervisor, Police Lieutenant and Police Captain 7. November 11th, known as Armistice Day" 8. the day in November designated as Thanksgiving Day" 9. the day following, the day in November designated as Thanksgiving Day", for all unclassified employees and alt classified employees other than public safety employees 10. December 25th, known as Christmas Day" 11. such other days as may be designated as holidays by motion of the City Council 12. If January 1st, July 4th, September 9th, November 11th, or December 25th falls upon a Sunday, the Monday following shall be deemed to be a holiday; if any of the holidays designated in this subparagraph falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be deemed to be a holiday. In the event of a conflict between this Holiday Plan and an approved Memorandum of Understanding, the Memorandum of Understanding shall take precedence.
