A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK COMMENDING
DR. SAIF R- ULLAH FOR HIS OUTSTANDING
SERVICE AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE
MID-VALLEY COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH
COUNCIL, INC.
WHEREAS, DR. SAIF R. ULLAH is resigning as Executive
Director of the Mid-Valley Community Mental Health Council,
Inc. after having served in an outstanding manner for the
past six years. Saif, through his energetic leadership, was
largely responsible for the creation of the Council which
provided a much needed organization to deal with a lack of
high quality mental health services. Working with the
elected city officials who serve on the Council Board, Saif
has been able to ascertain the needs of the local communities
in order to provide/ through his effective professional staff,
optimal efficiency at minimal cost, and
WHEREAS, to further expand the level of service provided
to the communities served by the Council, in October 1978,
Saif was instrumental in opening the Mid-Valley School for
the benefit of children who need more intensive educational
and psychological services than provided at a regular school,
and
WHEREAS, Saif has worked untiringly to keep the financial
resources flowing to the Council to continue to provide these
vital services to both the children and the communities.
Through his organizational ability and skill, these funding
needs have been met, and
WHEREAS, Saif has administered the Council in a manner
to implement programs to deal with psychological problems
before more serious problems can develop, and this program
of prevention has been of great benefit to the cities which
the Council serves.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
Baldwin Park hereby commends DR. SAIF R. ULLAH for his
outstanding service, expresses its appreciation on behalf
of the community, and wishes him well in all his future
endeavors.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of July 1979.
