A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO VACATE THAT CERTAIN
ALLEY EASEMENT BEHIND 4643 AND 4649
NORTH MAINE AVENUE 79-V-1)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby declare its intention to consider the vacation of that certain alley
easement within Lot 1, Revised Map Vineland of the Azusa, in the City of
Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California. Said area
proposed for vacation is:
That certain alley granted to the City of Baldwin
Park by Deed Recorded in Book D 1772, Page 523 in
the office of the County Recorder of said County
described as follows:
That portion of Lot 1, Revised Map Vinetand of the
Azusa, as shown on map recorded in Book 42 Page 52,
of the Miscellaneous Records in the Office of the
Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, within a
strip of land 20 feet wide the easterly line of which
is the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of
Lot 8, Tract No. 9262, as shown on map recorded in
Book 150, Pages 5, 6 and 7 of Maps, in the office of
said Recorder.
Above described 20 foot strip of land extending
northerly from the northerly tine of above mentioned
tract to a line parallel with and 125.5 feet northerly,
measured at right angles from said northerly line
SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby elect to proceed under and by virture of the provisions of Section
8300 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 3. That in accordance with Section 65402 of the Government
Code, this matter is hereby referred to the Planning Commission for review
with respect to conformance with the General Plan.
SECTION 4. That the hour of 7:30 p.m. on the 5th day of September,
1979, is hereby fixed as the time, and the Council Chambers at the City
Hall, located at 14403 East Pacific Avenue, City of Baldwin Park, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, is hereby fixed as the place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation as above
described.
SECTION 5. That the Street Superintendent shall cause notices to
be posted in the manner set forth in Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways
Code.
SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution and cause the same to be published or posted in the manner
prescribed by law.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of August? 1979.
