A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING
THE VACATION OF AN ALLEY 4643 AND
4649 NORTH MAINE AVENUE) 79-V-l)
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provision of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941". the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park,
did on the 1st day of August, 1979 adopt its Resolution of Intention
No. 79-81, declaring its intention to vacate a certain alley easement
behind 4643 and 4649 North Maine Avenue in the City of Baldwin Park,
County of Los Angeles, State of California as described herein; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly published
and notice of street vacation duty posted, all in the form, place,
time and manner required by law and all legal requirements have
been met; and
WHEREAS, this City Council, at the hearing designated
by said Resolution of Intention, on the 5th day of September 1979,
heard all of the evidence offered in relation to the proposed vacation.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does FIND, DETERMINE, RESOLVE and ORDER, as follows:
SECTION 1. That certain alley granted to the City of Baldwin
park by Deed Recorded in Book D 1772, Page 523 in
the office of the County Recorder of said County
described as follows:
That portion of lot 1, Revised Map Vineland of the
Azusa, as shown on map recorded in Book 42 Page 52
of the Miscellaneous Records in the Office of the
Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, within a
strip of land 20 feet wide the easterly line of which
is the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of
Lot 8, Tract No. 9262, as shown on map recorded in
Book 150, Pages 5,6 and 7 of Maps, in the office of
said Recorder.
Above described 20 foot strip of land extending
northerly from the northerly line of above mentioned
tract to a line parallel with and 125.5 feet northerly
measured at right angles from said northerly line is
hereby vacated.
SECTION 2. That the City hereby reserves a sewer easement over a11
of the alley and reserves a utility easement to the General Telephone Com-
pany and Southern California Edison Company over said alley.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to
the passage of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy thereof,
attested by her under the seat of the City to be recorded in the Office of
the County Recorder, Los Angeles County, California.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day7of September, 1979
