A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
COMMENDING THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY DAILY
TRIBUNE FOR 25 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE
COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, the San Gabriel Valley Daily Tribune will celebrate
their Silver Anniversary on March 21, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the San Gabriel Valley Daily Tribune has served well
our community and surrounding communities; and
WHEREAS, the San Gabriel Valley Daily Tribune has constantly
endeavored to work for the improvement of our community; and
WHEREAS, the San Gabriel Valley Daily Tribune has consistently
worked to give fair and adequate coverage to community local events; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park understands the vital rote
The Tribune" plays in the lives of their citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park recognizes
that the San Gabriel Valley Daily Tribune has accepted the responsibility
of bringing our residents international, national, state and local concerns
of the day through news, editorials, features and other articles of interest
and value; and
WHEREAS, the San Gabriel Valley Daily Tribune has been instrumental
in upholding the ideals and principles of the first amendment of the
constitution of the United States of America.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park hereby extends to the publisher, management and staff of
the San Gabriel Valley Daily Tribune, upon the occasion of their Silver
Anniversay, the appreciation of the community for their excellence in
reporting, editing, producing and delivery of our" community newspaper.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED;
Section 1. That the Mayor of the City of Baldwin Park shall sign
a joint resolution from the Communities of the San Gabriel Valley in
appreciation of the San Gabriel Valley Daily Tribunss outstanding service
to the Community.
Section 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
