A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THE VACA-
TION OF A CERTAIN UTILITY EASEMENT AT
RAMONA BOULEVARD AND FUTURE STREET EASE-
MENT AT MERGED AVENUE 80-V-l)
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941", the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park,
did on the 2nd day of April, 1980, adopt its Resolution of Intention
No. 80-22, declaring its intention to vacate a certain street Utility
Easement at Ramona Boulevard and Future Street Easements at Merced
Avenue in the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, as shown on Map 80-V-l, Exhibit A".
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly published and
notice of street vacation duly posted, all in the form, place, time
and manner required by law and all legal requirements have been met;
and
WHEREAS, this City Council, at the hearing designated by
said Resolution of Intention, on the 7th day of May, 1980, heard all
of the evidence offered in relation to the proposed vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does FIND, DETERMINE, RESOLVE and ORDER, as follows:
SECTION 1. That said certain Utility Easement at Ramona
Boulevard and Future Street Easement at Merced Avenue described as:
UTILITY EASEMENT
Those portions of a 20 foot wide vacated alley as shown on
Tract 11978 in the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles
as filed in Book 219, page 37 of Maps in the office of the
Recorder of said County, said alley vacated by instrument No.
3357 recorded December 17, 1971, described as follows:
The northerly 9 feet and the southerly 3 feet of said vacated
alley bounded westerly by Merced Avenue and bounded easterly
by the southerly prolongation of the easterly line of Lot 5
of said tract and also:
The northerly 10 feet of said vacated alley bounded westerly
by the southerly prolongation of the easterly line of Lot 5
of said tract and bounded easterly the southerly prolongation
of the easterly tine of Lot 8 of said tract.
FUTURE STREET EASEMENT
The east 30 feet of lots 23 and 24 of said Tract 11978,
not being needed for present or prospective public street purposes,
and therefore, the same be and is hereby, vacated for public street and
utility purposes.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify
to the passage of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy
thereof, attested by her under the seal of the City to be recorded in
the office of the County Recorder, Los Angeles County, California.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 7th day of May, 1980
