A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
APPROVING A DISPOSITION AND
DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT AND SALE
OF LAND SAN GABRIEL RIVER
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT)
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Plan for the San Gabriel River
Redevelopment Project has been duly adopted; and
WHEREAS, the Disposition and Development Agreement
attached hereto as Exhibit A1' has been prepared for purposes of
carrying out said Redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been duly held pursuant
to Article II, Chapter 4, Part I of the California Health and
Safety Code; and
WHEREAS, the Baldwin Park Redevelopment Agency has
previously prepared an Environmental Analysis Negative Declaration)
on the redevelopment project; and
WHEREAS, the development pursuant to the Disposition and
Development Agreement between the Agency and Lewis Development
Company, a partnership, is substantially sijnilar to the prototype
concepts evaluated in the Environmental Analysis Negative
Declaration) and the design changes in the project are not substantial
and will not require any revision to the Negative Declaration, and no new
information of substantial importance has been made available to the
Agency indicating any new adverse environmental impacts or the need
for any other mitigating measures applicable to the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby finds and determines
that the entering into the Dispositon and Development Agreement by
the Redevelopment Agency attached hereto as Exhibit A" and
incorporated herein by reference and the sale of the land pursuant
to said Agreement are in the best interest of the citizens of the
City of Baldwin Park and are in conformity with the Redevelopment
Plan.
SECTION 2 The Disposition and Development Agreement and
the sale of land pursuant thereto are hereby approved.
SECTION 3. Ths City Council further finds and determines that
a Negative Declaration has been prepared on the redevelopment
project in conformity wi-tn C.E. Q.A. and the guidelines adopted
pursuant thereto and no further environmental assessment needs to be
prepared with respect to the development contemplated by this
Disposition and Development Agreement:.
SECTION 4 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
