A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA
HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY UNDER ITS PROGRAM FOR
HOME OWNERSHIP/HOME IMPROVEMENT LOAN PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park hereinafter
Locality") and the California Housing Finance Agency herein-
after CHFA") wish to institute a program of financial
assistance and provide related services to assist persons of
low and moderate income to obtain decent, safe and sanitary
housing through the Home Ownership and Home Improvement Program
in Neighborhood Preservation Area(s) HOHI PROGRAM")7 and
WHEREAS, CHFA has received and reviewed an application
submitted by Locality for designation of an area within the
Locality described in Exhibit A as a participating Neighborhood
Preservation Area, and CHFA has agreed to designate such area
Commitment Area"),
NOW, THEREFORE, Locality and CHFA agree to the articles
one through eight known as Local Government Agreement authorizing
CHFA to give to the City of Baldwin Park $650,000.00 in
conjunction with the Neighborhood Preservation Program, by means
of below market interest loans to be used to rehabilitate
eligible residential structures and to be used to pursue the
purchasing of homes within the Neighborhood Preservation Area
for low and moderate income families.
SECTION 1. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.
