A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK COMMENDING
PHILIP R. SEXTON FOR HIS OUTSTANDING
SERVICE TO THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
WHEREAS, PHILIP R. SEXTON is resigning as City
Manager of the City of Baldwin Park to accept a position in
the private sector, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Sexton has applied his managerial
expertise to successfully implement important programs which
have significantly contributed to the economic health and
general welfare of the citizens of Baldwin Park, and
WHEREAS, since his appointment as City Manager of
the City of Baldwin Park in 1978, Mr. Sexton has established
close and harmonious working relationships with local. State
and Federal agencies, substantially benefitting the City of
Baldwin Park thereby, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Sexton has used his expertise in the
financial and other aspects of the redevelopment process to
promote the sale of bonds, negotiate property transactions
and in every way increase the City's tax base, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Sexton has at all times faithfully
served the City of Baldwin Park with exceptional skill,
dedication and professional integrity of the highest order.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby recognize the out-
standing service Philip R. Sexton has performed for the City,
and on behalf of the community expresses its appreciation and
wishes him well in all future endeavors.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21st/Ua/of January, 1981.
