A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING THE
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION TO STATE FOR
DEFERRED PAYMENT REHABILITATION LOAN
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park is in the process of
eliminating deteriorated rental housing stock throughout the
community, and specifically in target areas such as census tracts
4047, 4048, 4049, 4050, 4041, 4052 and 4070; and
WHEREAS, the beneficiaries of this particular reha-
bilitation program will be directed towards the tenants of the
rental units; and
WHEREAS, this particular rental unit program will provide
an incentive for property owners of rental units to improve their
housing stock; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park Housing Authority has
the expertise with its existing staff to provide the screening of
applications for such loans.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Baldwin Park as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby approves the
submission of the application to the State for the Deferred Payment
Rehabilitation Loan Program in the amount of $400,000.00 to be used
in providing safe and sanitary housing to tenants of rental units.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk sha3>,certify to the adoption
of this Resolution,
